RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review historical environmental reports, regulatory correspondence, and site investigation data.
- Evaluate environmental datasets including soil, groundwater, vapor intrusion, and emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
- Summarize technical findings into concise memoranda and briefings.
- Assist in identifying environmental risks, liabilities, and areas requiring additional investigation.
- Assist Senior Management in overseeing the work of subcontractors and environmental consultants.
- Review investigation and remediation work plans, field activities, and technical deliverables.
- Support preparation of work plans, technical reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Assist in developing and tracking project budgets.
- Review consultant invoices for technical consistency and alignment with approved scopes of work.
- Support project management efforts to maintain work within established budgets.
- Prepare technical summaries, reports, and internal briefing documents.
- Communicate project status and technical findings to the Senior Risk Manager and management team.
- Maintain organized project documentation and data summaries
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Approximately 3–7 years of experience in environmental consulting, site investigation, or remediation.
- Experience reviewing environmental data and technical reports.
- Familiarity with environmental regulatory programs and site investigation practices.
- Professional Geologist (PG), Professional Engineer (PE), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or progress toward licensure.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (current or ability to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
