With a name like Gardiner, a job that sometimes requires playing in the dirt is a perfect fit. Welcome Staff Scientist Gardiner Dennis to The ELAM Group. He grew up in Carmel, Indiana and graduated from the University of Dayton with a BS in Geology.
Gardiner loves Geology but Environmental Consulting wasn’t necessarily his career path until classmates at Dayton, who graduated before him and went into careers in consulting, gave him positive feedback about the work. “I’m glad that I can use my interests and knowledge of geology everyday for my job.” Gardiner said, “I also get a sense of fulfillment knowing that we contribute to the well-being of our environment and the health of others.” His favorite part of the job is the balance of time in the office and time spent in the field and he believes Environmental Consulting is important because, “people rely on us to provide the best info on whether a site is contaminated or not, then to implement an effective remedy.”
When not at work Gardiner is either finding a new place to hike, on the golf course – practicing for the annual ELAM Invitational – or hanging out with friends in Broad Ripple at a favorite pub or eatery. Good Friends and good times; The ELAM Group also enjoys having Gardiner on our team.
